24.108 CHAP. 108.—THE HERB CALLED IJNGUA: ONE REMEDY.

There is a herb called "lingua," [Note] which grows in the vicinity of fountains. The root of it, reduced to ashes and beaten up with hog's lard—the hog, they say, must have been black and barren—will cure alopecy, the head being rubbed with it in the sun.
